First Visit Experience

The team at Burwood Dental Centre are committed to providing you with high quality of oral health care in the most gentle, efficient manner possible.

Your dental health is important to you – and it’s important to us.

You wish to be kept well informed about your oral health, so let’s begin by discussing your first visit.

On your first visit, you can expect:

  • A thorough examination and review of your oral health, including necessary x-rays.
  • A careful evaluation of your dental status.
  • A discussion of the most satisfactory treatment.

As a new patient we ask you to complete a medical and dental health forms while at the practice.

For your convenience you can download and print these in advance and email/fax them in or bring them into our practice for your first appointment.

All the information is held in strict confidence and will be used to assist in your dental assessment and treatment planning.

Special care for anxious patients

At Burwood Dental Centre, your comfort is a priority.

We understand that there are many patients who experience anxiety when coming to the dentist, with this in mind we provide special care for nervous and anxious patients to help you feel at ease.

Appointment Policy

When scheduling appointments, we ask that you schedule appointment times that are convenient for you.

This time will be reserved just for you with our complete office staff at your disposal.

In the event that you do need to change your reserved appointment time, we require at least 24-hour prior notification so that we may give your reserved time to a patient on our waiting list.

Reservations that are not confirmed one day prior to your scheduled arrival will be offered to patients on our waiting list.

It is our policy to charge all patients a fee of half of the scheduled treatment for broken appointments.

The following situations are considered broken appointments:

  • Cancelled appointment without the necessary 24 hour prior notification.
  • Late arrivals in which scheduled treatment can no longer be provided.
  • No shows.
