Our practice uses effective, modern, tooth-coloured materials for fillings.

Unlike the more traditional silver amalgam fillings, white fillings look very natural, so no-one will be able to tell you have them.

They also do not contain mercury and are an ideal choice for achieving long-term strength in filled teeth.

The procedure involves the dentist removing all of the decay and the tooth is then filled with the tooth coloured composite material by placing into the hole in layers.

A special light is shone on each layer to speed up the setting process.

The filling is then shaped so that it looks like your natural tooth and it doesn’t interfere with the way your teeth meet when you bite or chew.

White fillings allow you to keep your natural teeth for many more years.
